РАЗОМ З ХРИСТОМ, ПРАВДИВІ ХРИСТИЯНИ Є СИНАМИ ДАВИДА TOGETHER WITH CHRIST, TRUE CHRISTIANS ARE SONS OF DAVID

 

 

Часто, Господь наш Ісус Христос називається Сином Давида так, як у сьогоднішньому євангелії. Ми знаємо те, що згідно з Його божественною природою, Ісус Христос називається Сином Божим, а згідно з людською природою називається Чоловічим Сином, Сином Авраама, або Сином Давида. Це дуже ясно, але ці титули також мають глибше значення, бо «щоб бути сином» означає більше від фізичного покоління, але важливіше, це означає бути подібним. Ми бачимо цей пункт дуже ясно у посланні Святого Апостола Павла до Галатів, в якому він каже те, що правдиві сини Авраама є тими, хто мають віру Авраама. Дійсно, чеснота, якої Патріарх Авраам є дуже великим прикладом, є вірою, і ця чеснота є джерелом праведности Авраама так, як вона є джерелом праведности для всіх нас християн, правдивих синів Авраама. Often, our Lord Jesus Christ is called the Son of David, just as we find it in today’s Gospel. We know that according to His Divine Nature, Jesus Christ is called the Son of God, but according to His human nature He is called the Son of Man, the Son of Abraham, or the Son of David. This is very clear, but these titles also have deeper meaning, since “to be a son” means more than physical descent, but more importantly, it means to be similar. We see this point very plainly in the Letter of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Galatians, where he says that the true sons of Abraham are those, who have the faith of Abraham. Indeed, the virtue, of which the Patriarch Abraham is a very great example, is faith, and this virtue is the source of the righteousness of Abraham, just as it is the source of righteousness for all of us Christians, the true sons of Abraham. In the same way, the ancestor of our Lord Jesus Christ, King David models certain virtues for us, and if we have these virtues we are also true sons of David in Christ.

Найперше, «Син Давида» є месіянським тітулом, тому що древнє пророцтво промовляло те, що Месія був би нащадком Давида згідно з плоттю і наслі́дником на його престолі. Навіть більше, очікування всього Ізраїля було тим, що Месія був би подібним до Давида згідно чеснот.  Від початку, Давид називається у Святому Письмі «чоловік згідно з Божим серцем,» і це сильне підтвердження є заради його простого довір’я у Бозі, довір’я, яке рухало Давида, щоб прийшов у боротьбу проти гіганта без звичайних зброй, і у багатьох інших шляхах, Давид також показав те саме довір’я.  Через довгі періоди його життя, Давид був бі́женцем, несправедливо обвинувачений невірністю і зрадою, але він терпів ці речі без ненависті, а з любов’ю до Бога, тому що він вірив в те, що Бог зве́ршував дуже великі подвиги через його страждання.

First of all, “Son of David” is a Messianic title, because ancient prophecy proclaimed that the Messiah would be a descendant of David according to the flesh and the successor on his throne. Even more, the expectation of all Israel was that the Messiah would be similar to David according to his virtues.  From the beginning, David is called in Holy Scripture “a man after God’s own heart,” and this strong endorsement is on account of his simple confidence in God, confidence, which moved David to go into battle against a giant without the usual weapons. In many other ways, David also showed the same confidence. Through long periods of his life, David was a fugitive, unjustly accused of disloyalty and treason, but he endured these things without hatred, but with love for God, because he believed that God was accomplishing very great deeds through his suffering.

Природно, Цар Давид є також прикладом покаяння, тому що, хоча він тільки чинив один серйозний гріх, чужолож з Ветсавією і губство її чоловіка, дух покаяння жив у ньому до останнього його подиху. Він дав нам п’ятдесятий псалом, як перфектну ікону покаяння, і ми повинні використовувати ці слова часто, щоб створити той самий дух у собі також. Для цієї причини, Свята Церква прописує повторення цього псалму у багатьох богослужіннях через цілий день. Очевидно, Ісус Христос не міг, щоб бути подібним до Давида у його покаянні, буквально кажучи, тому що Він є Бог, і ніколи не згрішив, але Він приймав страждання задля гріхів всього людського роду.

Naturally, King David is also an example of repentance, because, although he only committed one serious sin, adultery with Bathsheba and the murder of her husband, the spirit of repentance lived in him until his last breath. He gave us the fiftieth psalm as a perfect icon of repentance, and we should use these words often to create that same spirit in ourselves as well. For this reason, the Holy Church prescribes the repetition of this psalm in many of the services throughout the day. Obviously, Jesus Christ could not be similar to David in his repentance, literally speaking, because He is God, and never sinned, but He accepted suffering on account of the sins of the whole human race.

Правдиві християни повинні бути синами Давида згідно з його великим довір’ям і духом покаяння. Пізнаючи́ дуже великий тягар наших гріхів, ми повинні думати про гріхи інших людей як ніщо у порівнянні з ними.  Пізнаючи тягар наших гріхів також означає те, що ми повинні робити виправдання для поведінки інших людей, навіть якщо вони є нашими ворогами. Ми не можемо бути правдивими учнями нашого Владики, якщо ми не поводимося так, бо Він простив Його ворогів з хреста, коли Він сказав, «Отче, прости їм, бо вони не знають те, що роблять.» Наша терпеливість буде більшою, якщо ми будемо пізнавати те, що наші гріхи є більшими. І через всі ці речі, ми довіряємо у Бозі. Ми віруємо в те, що Бог звершує великі подвиги у нас і через нас, незважаючи на те, що ми є грі́шниками. Вкінці, наша мета є тим, щоб подобатися Богові, а не іншим людям, ані собі.

True Christians should be sons of David according to his great confidence and spirit of repentance. Realizing the great weight of our sins, we should think about the sins of other people as nothing in comparison with them. Realizing the weight of our sins also means that we should make excuses for the behavior of other people, even if they are our enemies. We cannot be true disciples of our Master, if we do not behave in this way, because He forgave His enemies from the cross, when He said, “Father, forgive them, for they no not what they do.” Our patience will be greater, if we realize that our sins are greater. And through all these things, we trust in God. We believe that God accomplishes great deeds in us and through us, despite the fact that we are sinners. In the end, our goal is to please God, and not other people, and not ourselves.
